Message from Wes Riddle

Dear Fellow Republican,

I'm Wes Riddle and I need your help!  Early Voting started Monday and goes through Friday this week.  The Run-Off Election is July 31st.  I'm the grassroots conservative, tea party-backed candidate, and I'm facing a multimillionaire car dealer from Ft. Worth, Roger Williams!  The Establishment is closing ranks around him, because he's raised a lot of money for them in the past and is also an insider, having been in and out of government positions for twenty-five years.  In county government he set up a no-bid contract to benefit his car dealership and was forced to resign after a public audit disclosed it.  He resigned from Texas Secretary of State too, and his dealership lobbied for the auto bailout.  The president of his dealership who happens to be his spouse was sponsored by Chrysler Corporation to lobby Capitol Hill.  Now he wants to buy a U.S. House seat.  He's spent nearly two million dollars to do so!  Always the political opportunist, for the last three years he's been running for something: first for U.S. Senate, then Congressional District 33, and only lately Congressional District 25 (he was the last of twelve candidates to enter!).

We're holding our own pretty well in my campaign, but we're also dealing with an onslaught of TV and media from Williams.  His election would deny the people a real voice of Central and North Central Texas conservatism in Washington, and it would signal more go-along, get-along "business as usual."  What a shame that would be!  It isn't too often that we get a new and open district like this one, to pick someone for afresh!  Even if you are outside the district, this is one to "ride to the sound of the guns."  Redistricting unfortunately did not result in very much net gain for Republicans-and no district in Texas was drawn as conservative as District 25!  Other than the U.S. Senate race, my U.S. House race is the most watched and hotly contested, because the difference in who wins has profound national implications.

I'm a statesman, not a politician.  I'm a West Point graduate and retired military, a small business owner, constitutional scholar and author, former college instructor (in American History and American Political Tradition), and I founded the Central Texas Tea Party.  I believe in Fiscal Responsibiliy, Limited Constitutional Government, Free Enterprise, and Secure U.S. Borders now!  I also need your most generous donation at this extemely critical moment, in order to get my message out in time!  Please go on line at and donate today or as soon as you can.  Every day makes a tremendous difference for us.

Let me encourage you to please share this e-mail with others, who may also share conservative Republican values and want to see us break the pattern in Washington and send someone to Congress who is genuine, works hard, has integrity, and will be accountable only to the people.  Thank you, and God bless you!
