Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

Mother taught be basic knitting (in her younger years she made suits). I didn't knit for many years until started to pick it back up around 1999. Added in crochet via a learning CD a few years ago. Enjoy both. Made some prayer shawls for church.

What's your favorite fiber?

Most recent favorite is a bamboo called dizzylettuce sheen - working on a lace shawl.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

a lacy sun canopy perhaps

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

I'm in the later group...a wonderful, fulfilling gift and one that let's you keep learning new skills and sharing with others.

Love to knit and crochet and learn more.
