Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

I learned to knit in college while traveling through Europe. A friend from Switzerland taught me, and I've been knitting off and on ever since (20 years).

What's your favorite fiber?

I love superwash wool. I knit mostly socks, and I prefer to make them from yarns that don't need special care.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

Probably a sweater, since I would finally have time!

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

It's something I keep coming back to every winter, a fun thing to do with my hands while watching TV or on a long car or plane ride, so yes, I think I'm a lifer!

I'm Jenn, a stay-at-home mom/writer/former colleges professor. I live in Canyon Creek in north Austin with my husband, 6yo son, and two cats.
