Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

Watching a PBS special about the history of knitting, looming being the man's job and women weren allowed to knit, sew, loom. This intrigued my husband and he said he wanted to learn to knit. While at Wal-mart there was a demonstration, so I learned and tried to teach him. He was uninterested and I was hooked.

What's your favorite fiber?

Still learning fibers

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

Blanket, shawl, hammock, bathing suit, crochet a hat and anything else i needed to live

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

I want it to be a life long passion but I need help getting over some humps in my inexperience. Once I understand how to do a few things I will be a lifelonge crafter. I want to pass this on to my daughter so we can use knitting and crocheting as something we can do together and bond over

Just moved to Round Rock, I haven't been knitting long. looking for other knitters to share and grow with. I am interested in making hats, blankets and booties for preemies, and beautiful gifts for friends and loved ones.
