Other groups may talk about Clouds and Tornado, but APUG has... FIRE.
Our February meetup will feature a presentation by Kristopher Overholt (http://www.koverholt.com/) on modeling the dynamics of fire with Python. If your server room burned down and you want to know how to determine if a faulty PDU or a disgruntled sysadmin is to blame, or if you just like to see videos of computer-calculated fire, then be sure to join us!
We will also have time for some lightning talks, and I will kick things off by showing how to write an IRC bot with Python. If you have a cool project or have just started using some neat Python tech, put together a quick 5-10 minute demo and email me to sign up!
Afterwards, as usual, we will head over to Buffalo Billiards for beers and more banter.
Cheers,
Peter
