The Austin Python Meetup Monthly Meetup
Details
For our June meetup, Ramalingam Saravanan will be driving all the way over from Texas A&M to present his tool otrace, an object-oriented tool for nonlinear debugging of asynchronous or multithreaded programs. Traditional debuggers and diagnostic techniques do not play well with programs like web servers where multiple requests are handled in parallel. (He will start by presenting some old approaches to debugging such programs.)
You can find otrace here: https://github.com/mitotic/otrace
Update: Tyler Weston will also be presenting his work on embedding Python in Chromium. His presentation will be short on slides, heavy on code, and probably will be followed by a lot of questions about "why can't we just embed Python in the browser already?!". (I am open to suggestions for building a drinking game around the Q&A session.)
Afterwards, we will have the usual banter and drinks at the Tribune.
See you all there!
-Peter
