Hello dear ones,
don Miguel Ruiz, Jr. will be in Austin this weekend! Check it out:
Friday, September 16, 7-8:30pm
Control Folly Presentation
Saturday, September 17, 10a-3pm
Control Folly Workshop
Control Folly is the mastery of continuing to follow your own internal process, while still being able to interact with the Dream of the Planet. We have chosen not to live isolated from the people we love during our process, but to engage in the World. How do we do this without letting the drama that exists outside of us, as well as other people’s point of view, derail us from our own personal growth?
In the Toltec Tradition, like many traditions around the World, “Masks” represent the image we project on to the World, just as much as how the World see’s us. Symbols by which we are able to relate to each other without exposing our true self. But in a process where the main task is to accept yourself as you really are, the relationship with the Dream of the Planet seems daunting, since it requires you to be at your most inauthentic in order to be accepted. Control Folly let’s you stay in your authenticity without having to give in to the temptation to believe the mask, or image, that people try to place on you; especially the image that we place on ourselves.
Based on my family’s Toltec tradition, the Friday night presentation will be an introduction and exploration to the concepts; while the Saturday workshop will be a hands on approach, where we will tailor the concepts to your own process.

As a child, Don Miguel Ruiz, Jr., listened to the stories of his father, who passed on the ancient beliefs of his family through tales his young son could understand. As Miguel Jr. grew older he learned to listen to more than just the words of the story, but to search beyond the superstition to find truth and meaning. He was just 14 when he became an apprentice to his father and grandmother, translating her workshops and lessons from Spanish to English. Finding the right words for in both languages to explain faith and its power gave Miguel Jr. a significant understanding of his family's traditions.
He is a joy to experience and lights you up from the inside... every time he smiles I just cannot help but to do so myself. Hope to see you there!
Wishing you cool summer breezes and bright blessing!
