So who else is glad to have their city back after Austin's very own March Madness called SXSW? We should celebrate by having an Austin Web Python meetup.

This Thursday we're going to have two talks on Django and talk about pycon 2012. This month Travis Swicegood (that's me) is going to start a series of talks called Django Fundamentals geared toward people starting out in Django. The first talk is about Django models. It may be a beginner talk, but come listen any way -- unless your name is James, Malcom, or Alex, you should pick up a thing or two about models and how they work.

At the intermission, we'll have a quick recap of pycon and some of the web-related themes that came out of it before launching in to Robert Myer's talk on deploying to Google App Engine (GAE, as the cool kids call it).

As always, we'll have food and beverages at the meetup and will adjourn to Buffalo Billards around 9 to continue discussions of a Pythonic flavor.

P.S. Sorry for the late notice. Guess who missed that the 1st this month was on a Thursday? :-)
