Back to beginnings: WordPress for Blogging

In a return to the humble beginnings of WordPress, in this month's Hands-On WordPress meetup we will examine how WordPress is still an amazing tool for personal and commercial blogging.

As part of our discussion we welcome Ilene Haddad and Julie Gomoll, organizers of Blogathon ATX (http://www.blogathonatx.com/), a day-long event in which bloggers get together to write blog posts but also talk about successful blogging strategies, finding your point of view, marketing your blog, and even tech support for using WordPress.

Throughout our conversation we will talk about great ways to develop and promote your blog, and depending on the direction of the conversation we may also talk about "must have" WordPress plugins and other technical tips to improve your blog's functionality and visibility.

Because strong writing and marketing strategies are also necessary for all websites, we encourage all WordPress users - even those who don't have a blog - to join us!
