Howdy everyone.
2011 was a great year for the Austin WordPress Meetup. We've seen our numbers grow, the attendance at the meetups is capacity almost every month, we have new faces at our meetups, it's just been wonderful.
I thought we'd have a conversation during the meetup next week about where we are as a group. I think we've got a good leadership team - we're always open for more involvement so what would that look like?
One specific area I think we're lagging in is our website. I've been thinking about it for a few months & I have some ideas of how we can make it more useful to the group & to potential members of the community. I want to share the ideas that I've got & I want to hear ideas from everyone else, too.
We started the meetup with a handful of people sitting around a table at the old Gingerman. We've got 870 members on Meetup.com now, two sold-out meetups a month and a rich community of WordPress enthusiasts & developers.
We can go even further. :-)
