Let's Kickoff Arizona Xamarin!

Statêra is pleased to announce the inaugural meetup of the Arizona Xamarin User Group. Using the Xamarin platform, this User Group will focus on rapidly delivering custom, cross-platform applications that are written entirely in C#, yet run natively on the Windows 8, Windows Phone, Android and iOS platforms. Please join us on 1/9/2014 at the Microsoft office, located just off of Mill Avenue in Tempe, between 6 and 8PM as we kick off this exciting new group. The event will include a presentation by local Statêra consultant and Xamarin expert Les Brown in which he will discuss tips and strategies to help you get started with cross platform Xamarin development. Xamarin Developer Evangelist James Montegmagno will be onsite to help us kick this group off and answer any questions that you may have around this wildly popular toolset. Refreshments will be served.

Also, if anyone is interested .NET and Rocks! and #Xamarin are in town early next week. I'm sure this was brought up at the meeting, but for those that might not know. Details are on http://www.azdnug.com

Thanks for the presentations (and the monkey). I look forward to more great meetings, maybe including a demo consuming from Azure Mobile Services.

Looks like I won't be able to make it. I have another appointment at 7. Do they always do these over in the east valley?

Hopefully we'll see you at the next one. The meeting locations are expected to vary. Do you have a suggestion for a location in a different part of town?

Josh is this going to be at the Microsoft Store in Scottsdale or at the Campus in Tempe?

James, this was originally planned for the MS Store. Unfortunately, we got word back today that they would be unable to accommodate us on this date. It will instead be held at the Campus, on Rio Salado, just off of Mill Ave. A future meetup will be held at the store.

I've had meetings in the store, and I much prefer the office. Real chairs, power, bigger. No food court though :)
