Snowshoe the Bakerville to Loveland (BLT) Trail

Easy 5 mile out and back snowshoe with around 850 feet of elevation gain on the Bakerville to Loveland Trail which paralells I-70 and Clear Creek. The well-marked trail gently ascends from Bakerville to Loveland making this a great beginner snowshoe. Nice mountain views from all sides with views of Gray's and Torrey's Peaks.

Directions to Trailhead: Go west on I-70 to Bakerville, Exit 221. Exit here and park. The BLT trailhead is to the right of the parking area.

Carpooling: Meet at 9am at Wooly Mammoth, Section CC where we'll form some carpools. The parking lot is located on I-70 West, Exit 259, turn right then left on US40. Drive up the hill and turn into the lot across from the Conoco.

Optional Lunch after the snowshoe at a nearby restaurant.

Lunch was a hoot! I learned some new "concepts" right there at Tommyknockers.

You missed out Linda - roads were not bad and the weather turned out to be nice. It was a great beginner snowshoe!
