I've never had a bad glass at the Wine Bistro on Lane Avenue. They have great flat bread and a great selection. Who's game?

Kelley, the manager at the wine bistro, has confirmed that we have a BIG table reserved for us (seating 20) inside the restaurant in case of rain. Additionally, the "over flow" folks will have room inside. If the 70% chance of NOT raining holds, we will enjoy the tables outside...but the large table inside is still ours. 5 available wine flights (2 whites and 2 reds, and 1 rose flight) are available. Kelley has said we can order off the full menu, with flatbreads, salads, pasta, sandwiches, etc available. Individual checks. I will be collecting $1 from each attendee to cover our meetup expenses and the balance goes to our selected charity. Cash is preferred. I can give receipts if necessary.

Will you be reserving tables for dinner or just standing in the bar area? Maybe outside? The service is poor at best unless you have a table.

  Marcie: We may have to reschedule if there is rain. The Wine bistro's tasting room is booked about 2 weeks in advance, but even that room will only accommodate 33 folks…. Our group is just too large. I will post additional information on Tuesday morning...Steve

In a previous email to the group I stated we may have to change the date and time due to the large number of RSVPs. After speaking with the manager of the wine Bistro, they WILL be able to accommodate us with outside seating on our scheduled date.

We are wine enthusiasts in the central Ohio area who are part of the Ohio Chapter of theInternational Bacchus Society. We are not limited solely to the Dublin area, and our group hosts events all over central Ohio.

Founded in November 2006, we have now have over 500 members, and have had over 60 meetings with an average rating of 4.85 out of 5. Join us to meet fellow Wine Enthusiasts near you! We have an even mix of married couples and singles.

Anyone who loves wine is welcome to join our group. No invitation needed.

Come to one of our local Wine Meetups to taste new wines; learn about attributes of wine; and discuss different vintages and estates. Everyone's welcome, from wine novices to educated connoisseurs (we have an even balance). We have a master sommelier in our group.

This meeting is also for individuals who would like to learn more about or join the Ohio Bacchus Society. The Bacchus Society is a philanthropic organization dedicated to promoting the enjoyment and understanding of wines, gourmet food, travel and entertainment. Our events, which are held throughout Central Ohio, are fun and accessible. There is no cost to join the Bacchus Society.

Dues: We have a $1 per person charge for attendees at our wine meetups to cover the Meetup administrative fees of approximately $150 per year.

(For the last 6 years I have been covering these out of my own pocket)

All proceeds collected above the $150 will go to our selected charities.
Currently (and subject to change) they are:
1. The Arthritis Foundation of Central Ohio
2. The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.

When your dollar is collected, you can designate which charity the proceeds will be directed to and I'll assure it will be done. If you don't designate, we will divide the donations between the two charities. As a member, you can suggest new charities for our group.

Thanks for your your participation in our group. Over the last 6 years we have contributed over $10,000.00 to our selected charities. We are doing more than just gathering on a monthly basis and having fun and making new friends. We are making a difference in the lives of many folks served by our selected charities.
