* First of all I'd like to introduce myself to everyone. My name's Dan Strickland, and you may or may not know me, but it was a pleasure standing alongside each of you at the Tax Day Tea Parties supporting
transparency, accountability ,and fiscal responsibility. Thanks to the members of this group and many others like it around the nation, members of congress and many other Americans around the country have seen that we the people still care about the direction of our country.

* Unfortunately, since the time of the the last Tea Party, the level of degradation of our economy, our debt, and our dollar has accelerated exponentially to put it lightly. The allocated funds for bailouts ,with more on the horizon , has now reached 23.7 trillion, and absolutely NONE of it has been accounted for because of the outright refusal from our Federal Reserve. The Country is bankrupt; middle class people are now among the homeless population, and more people in my life than I can count, have lost their jobs, their 401k's , or a good part of their retirement; almost twice the amount of The United States gross domestic product, has leaked from our treasury, and now it's time we get a look at where it went.

* In line with our Tea Party values of governmental fiscal responsibility and transparency, HR1207 and the Senate version S604 ,will help us in achieving our ends by forcing the hand of accountability into the legislature . Well over half of the Republicans, Libertarians, Independents AND Democrats have in the House , that number 282 co-sponsors support this bill; Now we will be canvassing with petitions around neighborhoods and during public events to get the other half on track.

* I am extremely open in discussing logistics with everyone ,and know it will make the difference between a good operation, and a great operation. It would also be advantageous for me to know where people are located so meeting places can be in mutually accommodating areas. Click on the link below to sign the online petition
