Hey everyone,

I wanted to let you all know about a swap meet going on at Lombardi Sports this weekend, that supports the Adaptive Ski School at Alpine Meadows. Here's the 411:

The Outdoor Adventure Club is having its annual Used Gear Swap Meet this weekend, as part of Lombardi Sports Rooftop Sample Sale. The program is pretty simple. If you have used gear in good condition, we'll sell it for you. If you want to get some good deals on used gear, come on up to Lombardi's and bring some cash.

If you want to sell gear, bring it by Lombardi Sports tonight or tomorrow night, from 5-8. We'll tag it for you and do our best to sell it for you over the weekend. 10% of the sale price will be held back and donated to to Disabled Sports USA Far West, the Adaptive Ski School at Alpine, where I volunteer in the winter. You are allowed to donate more than 10%, too!

We'll take any outdoor gear in good working order, including:

  • Bikes
  • tents
  • Skis/snowboards
  • kites
  • surfboards
  • Gore Tex jackets/ pants
  • Backpacks
  • Ice skates
  • Sleeping bags
  • Some climbing gear, such as shoes, but not ropes, harnesses or trad gear.
  • Roof racks

The Outdoor Adventure Club will be selling a bunch of our used gear, including:

  • Avalanche beacons
  • Avy shovels
  • Tents
  • Backpacks
  • sleeping bags
  • well-used climbing shoes

If you don't have gear to sell, come shopping on Saturday. The best selection in both the sample sale and the swap meet is on Saturday morning. Come early.  The Sample Sale is a pretty big deal at Lombardi's. Reps come from a bunch of companies, and sell off their samples and overstock items. There are great deals to be had, for sure!

It's also possible to drop items off to sell on Saturday, but if you bring gear by on Saturday, you must drop it off between 10:00 and 10:30 a.m.

Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions.  I can be reached through the Meetup, or at [address removed]

Pray for snow!
