Join us for the first ever WIMP Contribute Day! We have big ambitions for our community and we can use all the help we can get building things out.
We'll be working on a redesign that Melissa has started for the beawimp.org website! We are looking for talent of all kinds to come together and help us all make our community website even better!
Outline of work we are looking for help with:
Design
• Get designer feedback as to what works, what doesn’t and change accordingly
• Implement design changes to existing PSD's
UX/UI
• Work with designers to tweak designs to reflect better usability
Content/Marketing
• Refine existing or create new content to better reflect the community
Front-end
• Replicate the provided PSD into functional HTML/CSS
• Convert the HTML into WordPress theme templates
Back-end
• Handling some of the more complex coding pieces
• Extending BuddyPress user dashboard with new navigation and views
• Focusing mostly on abstracting complex PHP code into separate functions to keep templating simple and clean
Community
Yes, we even need your help contributing to our community efforts. This will include brainstorming meetup topics, leading meetup talks and discussions, and helping us find speakers.

Depending on the number of participants, will all depend on how we break everything up.
Bring your gear and we'll assemble into teams to hack the day away! We'll be providing a continental breakfast then collectively ordering lunch and dinner.
There may be celebratory libations and gaming :-) Join us help contribute back to the community we all love!
