Meetup Description
To kick off the 2015 year of meetups, we'll have a panel of 3 regular Git users discussing the basic hows and whys behind using version control software, a must-know in any sort of collaborative coding environment today.

What is version control?
Also known as revision control and source control (and an aspect of software configuration management), is the management of changes to documents, computer programs, large web sites, and other collections of information.

Mike Van Winkle is a PHP Engineer for Pantheon, a website management platform for Drupal and WordPress. Before that he spent 2 1/2 years as a developer for WP Engine, where he helped the company grow from 15 employees in 2012 to over 200+ 2014.
