If you've ever wanted to sell stuff online, you've probably been overwhelmed by the sheer number of e-commerce options out there: PayPal? Ebay? WooCommerce? Yahoo Store? Custom shopping cart? All have their strengths and weaknesses. Over the last few years, though, a strong contender has arrived, and it's called Shopify. A complete, hosted package, Shopify requires no installation and no custom programming. In this lecture, presenter Michael Trang will give a guided tour of the Shopify experience and how it may benefit your online sales efforts.

Michael will cover:

• Setting up a new Shopify store.
• A discussion of the different free and paid tiers of the Shopify service and what each level of service offers.
• An overview of Shopify theme customization.
• Discussion of the pros and cons of using Shopify; what the benefits are vs other services and platforms, and some potential limitations.
