Besides making contact with a good group of Bend technical folks, having a shared point of reference (the selected book) makes a much more effective way to get to know people than in a general get together. Prepping for each meeting provides incentive to better study the topic(s) generated by the selected books. Dudley’s provides a really good venue for the meetings.
