We are keen to announce this National Big Data Meetup (free entry !!!).

This is the first meetup from a tour of three Big Data meetups which will happen in Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara and Bucharest.

We will have three impressive presentations:

Radu is working for Sematext Group mainly as consultant and trainer on elasticsearch. He is also the author of the book "Elasticsearch in Action (http://www.manning.com/hinman/)"

The presentation will be mainly a demo from where we will learn the basic facilities of Elasticsearch , sprinkled with some "tips & tricks" for those who already know about these facilities, followed by a Q&A session.

• Benefits of running machine learning algorithms with Apache Spark and H20 by Cosmin Ursachi (Timisoara)

In this presentation we will go through what it actually means to do machine learning at scale and, in the process, cover a range of machine learning algorithms with code samples.

• Deep diving into Apache Spark. Apache Spark seems to be the next generation of bigdata processing frameworks offering in-memory processing and a easier way to write bigdata applications.

During this presentation we will have a spark ecosystem introduction, extended with sample implementation for a dataset transformation, lessons learned, Tips & Tricks, Q&A session
