1-Reimagining realtime data architecture: counting the Qubits. Using recently made available Google Cloud Dataflow, Qubit, a leading deep personalization platform will share and discuss how they have re-imagined a core component of their high throughput real time processing system. Google Cloud Dataflow, which is built on MapReduce, FlumeJava and MillWheel (http://research.google.com/pubs/pub41378.html), allow to easily build complex stream processing systems.

2-Under the hood: Scalable architecture at the #1 betting site in the world, William Hill

Speaker: Peter Morgan - Head of Development at William Hill. Peter is responsible for all new development projects at William Hill and has been a strong adopter of distributed architecture, including NoSQL Riak database, to enable William Hill's impressive growth. Previously, Peter was co-founder and lead Java programmer of http://jcoverage.com,; developer of GPL and commercial coverage tools and co-founder and lead Java programmer at EJBHome ltd., acquired by IONA technologies.

3-Real life lambda architecture at Postcodeanywhere

Speaker: Jamie Turner - CTO and co-founder of Postcode Anywhere, Jamie is responsible for the data-as-a-service infrastructure that powers over 9,000 businesses globally. Jamie has a considerable knowledge of how to develop a scalable SaaS platform that meets the resilience and reliability requirements of the on-demand market. Jamie is also leading the product development of Triggar.com - a new real-time, big data, analytics platform powered by Cassandra, Spark and Elasticsearch.

Jamie’s presentation will be supported by Juan Stocca, a data scientist at Big Data Partnership. Juan Stocca developed the algorithms behind Triggar and will give a brief overview of Mixture Markov Models - what they're for, how they work and the challenges he faced when building them in Spark.
