Dear Friends and Family,

I am proud to be organizing the 1st ever Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Bike Ride Fundraiser right here in Boston on Sunday, September 7, 2008!! I will be leading and riding in this event.

I have ridden in many bicycle fundraisers but this one hits close to home. As many of you know, I not only have this disorder but, as a licensed psychotherapist, treat this condition. OCD can be a very debilitating condition that tends to wax and wane throughout a person's life. If you would like to know about OCD, click on this link:

Fortunately, with excellent research, there has been and continues to be great treatments available. I am fortunate to have benefited from much of the research and treatments available and that's why I want to give back to the community by helping in this very important cause.

The reality is, many people either suffer in silence, don't know of these resources, or don't have access to these resources. Much research needs to be done as there still is no cure, only treatment.

I am grateful that I was able to get the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation to advertise this event in their National Newsletter coming out very soon.

I was hoping to get a lot more support from the foundation to set up an official web site for this event so that pledges could be made on-line but these things take time (Rome wasn't built in a day) and so for this year...

Pledges can be made by either sending a check to me made out to the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation or you can connect to the link below which allows you to make a secure online pledge directly to the foundation. If you choose the latter method, please reference my name and the OCF bike fundraiser event as the reason for the pledge.

Here's the link for the secure online pledge:

If you prefer to send a check to me, my address is:

10 Lake Shore Terrace
Unit 3
Brighton, MA 02135

Please make your checks out to the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation

Thank you very much for your anticipated support of such an important cause!

Warm Regards,
