Guest Speaker – Jay Pliskow from HEAD Acoustics
Jay Pliskow from HEAD acoustics will talk about 3QUEST, a MOS based analysis metric used for measuring the performance of noise suppression. The talk will cover the basics of the measurement setup and provide listening examples of the scoring. 3QUEST is a standardized methodology in 3GPP and commonly used in the telecommunications industry quality testing.
HEAD acoustics is an expert in telecommunications and NVH measurement technology. The company is a leader in the field aurally-accurate recording, playback, and analysis. Working in combination with industry and standardization communities HEAD acoustics develops hardware and software solutions for measuring and analyzing in the fields of noise, vibration, and communication technology.

How to get there
Our address is 411 Dixon Landing Rd, Milpitas, CA – 95035.
We are located 8 miles North of the San Jose airport, just East of the intersection of I-880 and Dixon Landing Road. For those travelling from the city, the closest train stations are Fremont Bart / Santa Clara Caltrain station. The best way to arrive at the facility would be to hire a commercial or private taxi service from the train station. There is plenty of parking around the building.
When you arrive at the front lobby, someone from CETECOM will sign you up in the lobby and direct you to the event in Hawaii Conference room.
