Coffee with bloggers

I originally took on this group just so that the first blogging Meetup in the country wouldn't disappear, but I've been fairly preoccupied with my day job since I accepted the reins, and I'm already organizing a weekly meetup for Japanese speakers and a monthly photography-related event. Thanks to various life changes, I've been a relatively inactive blogger since I took this on, as well. I apologize for not being a better host.

I want to at least start trying to have one event a month to get the group meeting semi-regularly again. I propose that we do the first event at a coffee shop in Seattle. I've got us booked on Capitol Hill at People's Republik of Coffee, which is a coffee shop run by a bunch of comedy improv geeks, as far as I can tell. Bus routes 8, 12 and 43 are pretty convenient, plus it's only a few blocks from Broadway.

This first round is likely just a mellow get-together, but if you're motivated to give, say, a 5 minute talk on something you're obsessed about, let me know and I'll create a mini-agenda.

Expect this event to last somewhere from 60-90 minutes.
