Open Source Hack Night

Come prepared with an idea or two of some open source ruby that you'd like to hack on, be it a brand new gem, a new feature in an old gem, or just some bug fixing. Come prepared to help someone else out with their idea.

We'll break into pairs, or larger groups, or whatever seems natural - and we'll see how much we can accomplish in two to three hours.  There is no minimum skill level - hacking with other people is a great way to learn, so if you don't have any open source ambitions of your own, or you are still new to ruby, that's okay! Come to help others, and come to learn. Feel free to bounce around ideas in "Talk about this Meetup" below!

Dinner is provided, usually pizza & soda.

Free parking is available at DHF, use the map below to find the lot then come in to grab a parking pass.

    Thanks for coming out everyone!

Quick rundown of the stuff people were working on (that I can remember):

Paul worked on his web based DB GUI and had it up and running by the end of the night, you can check out the code here:

Brigitte spent the night working on making a open source project she contributes to more mobile friendly. That project lives here:

David spent his night messing with regular expressions (!) and Ali was heads down on a Rails app he's building to help manage his fantasy football league. I know I missed some stuff so chime in on this thread with what you worked on last night!

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
