Dana, have you read "Who Owns the Future" ? This is not a suggestion for the book discussion because it is not cognitive science.
I am reading it now and it makes me think of you.

Hi, I don't know why I didn't receive the Nov 1. email. I did receive a Nov 2 email which said that a book had not yet been chosen so that is pretty wierd. Anyway, I am glad this book was chosen because I think it is a good one and maybe sometime in the future we can read some of his other books too.

Actually, Dana, I did receive the email on Nov. 1. You did good;-)

It might be even better if you made the book the title of the meeting. I think it would be more inviting to lurkers as well.

Strange, I posted the announcement weeks ago. I assumed that when I push the "Announce This Meetup" button it sends emails. Maybe not...

by the way, I received Jeff's post as an email. I did not receive this post from you. I saw your post when I went to the Cognitive site. So why I got Jeff's as an email but did not get yours is a mystery to me. do you think it is a bug in my computer??

Lorena, have you forgotten that you already read this book? We discussed it July 14 at Mudraker's.

No, I have not forgotten but it was last summer and I have read many, many books since then so this one is not fresh in my mind. I would have loved to skim it before we meet. But that's OK, I'm sure I will enjoy the discussion anyway. I don' t know why I never received the announcement. That is weird. Did everybody else get the announcement weeks ago?
