Details

Please note a new policy we are trying out: If your RSVP is "yes" the day before the event, and you don't show up, you will be wait listed for the next meeting. Why? We have over 50 members, but generally only 12-15 spots at each meetup. (I actually just put a freeze on new members.) When people claim a spot and don't show up, they keep someone else from being able to participate.

We'll discuss "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult. Book description: Kate Fitzgerald has a rare form of leukemia. Her sister, Anna, was conceived to provide a donor match for procedures that become increasingly invasive. At 13, Anna hires a lawyer so that she can sue her parents for the right to make her own decisions about how her body is used. This is Picoult's 11th novel.

We'll meet at Zennubian 7 (https://www.zennubian7teahouse.com/). It's a teahouse downtown with salads, sandwiches, rice and noodle dishes, and smoothies that's gotten favorable reviews. (https://atlanta.creativeloafing.com/gyrobase/Content?oid=oid%3A227399)
We are getting our own section of the restaurant and must spend $5 per person, which shouldn't be a problem.
