I really, really want to learn ASL essentially and get to know more about the etiquettes and the people in the deaf culture. I'm a multi-cultural person myself, but I've never been in full contact with the deaf culture, unfortunately. I'm interested in learning ASL first, and then learning Taiwanese sign language and Japanese sign language if I ever get an opportunity to live in those countries. Although I will be busy with my teaching career and graduate school, I would love to have the opportunities to meet and greet and get to know like-minded people who have an interest in ASL and also whom live the deaf culture.
Since freshman year in college (2000), I've been wanting to learn ASL but never got into a program because of the long waiting lists. I'm currently practicing finger spelling on the Westwood ASL website. Finally, someone thought of teaching ASL online!

Hi Everyone! I'm a classroom teacher up north near the NH/MA border. I'm interested in learning and applying ASL to my lifestyle (work/home).
