Esplanade Cleanup & Restoration

Details
Another service opportunity, where we can show that a secular worldview is generous, civic-minded, and altruistic. IF YOU DON'T HAVE a Boston Atheists tee-shirt (either the ten-year shirt, or the "Friendly Neighborhood Atheist" graphic), and would like to buy one, email zbos@atheists.org to make arrangements. Otherwise, wear whatever you like... though you are especially encouraged to wear something that identifies you as an Atheist.
Project: Landscaping and cleanup of the Esplanade park along the Charles River. No experience or tools are necessary. Volunteers should wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, appropriate gear for the weather, and bring sun protection, water, and snacks.
Location: Dartmouth Street Comfort Station (BEHIND THE BUILDING), Nearest Footbridge: Dartmouth St. & Back St., Boston MA, Nearest T-Stop: Copley Station (Green Line). A group of us will be meeting statue in front of the MIT student center on Mass Ave at 8:30am and walking over. It is approximately a one mile walk from MIT.
Contact: Either sign-up here or contact Dan Harris (dmh@math.mit.edu) by Friday Morning (7/19, 9am) if you can attend so I can give them an estimate of how many to expect. Also please let me know if you will be meeting us there or joining us at MIT to walk over.
