Nokia DVLUP for Windows Phone Developers

Speaker: Lance McCarthy

Session Info:

Are you an Android Dev, iOS dev or Windows Phone dev? You're in luck. I am officially announcing the beginning of a brand new, groundbreaking program from Nokia for developers, DVLUP. You are formally invited to participate in this currently invite-only program where you earn points for your apps through completing challenges. Spend your XP on Xbox 360s, new Nokia Lumias and more. I will also be giving away two new Nokia Lumias at the meetup, invite codes to join, licenses to the Telerik RadControls and news about a special giveaway (TBA at the group). I will be bringing the swag and the food, you only need to bring the developer inside you..

As the Nokia Developer Ambassador for Boston I will be providing free resources, tools and devices to local devs. I'll explain the details of how you can come on board. In a nutshell, I will pay for your first year's fees for the Windows Developer license and be giving aways phones to devs who bring their app to market. I'll also be continually running contests to win phones, here is the current one.

So come on by, get hooked up and expand your market reach. Nokia is fully backing developers in an all-out way and I'm your new go-to guy for access.

Speaker Bio:

Lance McCarthy is an award-winning Windows Phone developer who has joined Nokia as a Developer Ambassador to represent all of Boston/New England. To learn more about how he is here to help you bring your apps and app ideas to life, see this post. During the day, he is a XAML Support Specialist at Telerik supporting developers with their Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, WPF and Silverlight applications that use RadControls.

Hi all! It was great event last night. For those currently developing their app I’d love to help promote it though my company PreApps. PreApps is the exclusive place to preview and rate mobile apps coming soon. It’s a platform as whereby developers can promote their app coming soon and engage app user feedback. As apart of Boston Mobile Developers meetup I’d be happy to provide promo codes to be featured for free. Shoot me an email at [masked] if you want more info!

From what I have heard your best bet is using the parking of the building. it is something like 10 or 15 bucks. Don't park on the street in front of the building. You can only park there for a limit time and you will be towed and/or ticketed.
