Welcome all ye heathens, witches, pagans, shamans, earth spiritualists, and so forth! There is so much diversity in the Pagan tradition that pigeon holing doesn't make sense for me to "label" a meet up group, but "Pagans" seemed to be a good umbrella term!
Just really want to have informal face to face meetings for pagans and like- minded folks in a safe and fun atmosphere. Our goal is to create a face to face community of earth loving kind like-minded folks. Hopefully, we can use the group to network, celebrate our differences, learn from each other through discussions and communication, share our traditions in group rituals, have seasonal gatherings, and some good old fun times.
We also want to maintain a safe atmosphere for the women of pagan traditions and discourage and maintain that this isn't a group where its a "pick up" scene because someone is "free-spirited and pagan" and...well you know the scenarios! We also request that you do not bring your own spiritual and political agendas such as, wanting to "convert" others to your political/spiritual viewpoints. All that does is push people away and makes them feel uncomfortable. Let's respect and learn from each other instead!
We also do not tolerate any "isms" in the group-(racism, sexism, etc.) Nor will we tolerate any homophobia. We are a GBLT safe zone.
Unification and the celebration of co-existing pagan groups under the pagan umbrella is sadly missing in all our traditions, as well as, the world around us. I sincerely hope we can meet others and out of the group form friendships, create community, and celebrate our diversity in ritual, teachings, friendship, etc. So anyways, Blah, blah, blah! :)
What do we do? What can we do?---
-We celebrate the Equinoxes and Solstices in a neo pagan non-traditional way. We have guest ritual leaders that present their styles and traditions to the group. If you are ever interested in leading or presenting your pagan tradition to the group, please let us know so we can organize it for you.
-We also have visited other organizations and participated in their rituals. If you know of something let me know and we will throw it up on the MeetUp.
-We also have Meet and Greets that have been BBQ's, picnics, happy hours, movie nights, etc.
-We also sometimes have had workshops on a spiritual teaching method and you are also welcome to organize one yourself for the group-just let us know!
-We organize what ever you want to do-so always feel free to organize something and present it to the organizers for us to make it happen for you!
-Folks have networked at our gatherings and found or have formed niches for their own particular pathwork. Others have networked to find ritual leaders to be taken on as students, or have a particular ritual performed for them or their community.
-Others have formed friendships, satisfied their curiosities on paganism, or just wanted to be social and that's it.
It's all about what you want to put in to the group to get something out of the group!!!!
So, just bring something to share about yourself, an open mind, and good vibes!
We basically have one rule for the group:
Do what thou will as long as thee harm none!
PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR MESSAGE BOARD FORUMS FOR MORE INFO AND TO INTRODUCE YOURSELF!!!
Welcome and Blessed Be!
