Our guest Kumu Hula Susan Puaokamakahala will share here expertise during this workshop. Beginners and intermediate students are welcome. Advanced students will have the chance to review and execute basic steps with perfection we will .We will cover the essential components in hula, including the storytelling, dance basics and various elements of performance.
Susan Puaokamakahala Ahfield has studies Hula with Roselle Kealiihonipua Bailey since 1979.A member of Ka Imi Na'auao o

Hawai'i Nei Institute - to search for the true of Hawaiian culture; to restore Hawaiian culture to it is original dignity. To educate the people for its understanding, enjoyment and appreciation of art,

language, craft, philosophy and religion of the Hawaiian people,

though the hula . Puaokamakahala says that she has been very

blessed to continue the linage of hula spreading the aloha and

Spirit of Hawai'i through the dances and music. She has taught

hula on Kauai and was highly recommended by my kumu Hula

Keahi Manea from The Kahiko Ha Lapa I Hula alapa'i, as

part of this Halau Susan has performed at the Merrie Monarch


in India, Thailand, Canada, Washington and DC .
The Dance Club at the University of Virginia, Sport and Health Club

and many other locations also had Susan Puaokamakahala performing or teaching.

I am a KCC community college, I am studying Anthropology, culture and language of the Asian Pacific Islander, would you like to receive our class studies, maybe even have a meeting about it?
