SF-HOSTED- Monthly Drinks Night at Perry's, Embarcadero

Since Perrys seems to be a hit with the downtowners we are making it our every other month home.  This is a very busy bar so you'll need to look for the British flags and the accents.  October we where 40 strong, great turnout.  If anyone is interested in hosting this event on any particular month please let me know as I'm not always able to go to this one.

Perry's has a good selection of beer and wine. There is a full menu or bar food, should you feel a bit peckish. Public transportation is easy and street parking can be found although the meters run through the evening. Parking is also available at the Rincon Center.

    I asked recently if anyone was interested in hogget or mutton. never actually having dined on mutton or hogget I couldn't very well answer questions until i tried it myself. After pouring 3 years into my flock i finally had 2 butchered and tried my first bitE. So good, I was amazed. Next morning i had a friend who is a chef come by to help wrap the meat and he threw some in a pan with nothing but oil, salt and pepper. One bite and he was a believer! He couldn't believe the flavor! He took some with him to experiment with and the next day i sampled his version of Irish Stew. The best I stew (not just Irish) I've ever had. Well it got me thinking, about the meetups.... once the weather turns, would any of you would be interested in planning a meetup around a steaming bowl of Irish stew? Not sure of the logistics, I'd have to work out the details but I thought I'd throw out the idea?

      Not goat but honest to goodness mutton. Grass Fed, great flavor... I am trying to get itokayed for farmers market. I also have hogget, (12-24 mos old) and will soon have lamb.

    I raise sheep on my farm near UC Davis. I know cool winter days seem like a long way off, but I will be sending some animals off to the butcher in October and November I thought there might be some in your group may be interested in some mutton or hogget.
