Im·promp·tu Ride Around the Island(s) Ride

My personal traditional ride :) This is a casual night ride around the islands.

I'll probably do this ride every Tuesday btw. The same thing, unless one participant has any other ideas.

Will set off from midtown ~9:00PM. Ride through Battery tunnel, BQE + Belt to Sheepshead, have a cup of coffee/tea, take Belt to Pennsylvania Ave, to Jackie Robinson Pkwy, (8W) to Grand Central, take GC to tri-boro to FDR and end in Midtown again.

At times, I am the only vehicle on the road. Jackie Robinson is so much more fun when there is no traffic :) There will be pot-holes every-where! Please don't come if you don't feel comfortable with:

• potholes
• cold
• night time riding

Do come if you want to experience those and get some experience. I have no problem slowing down :)

It's ~60 miles, takes about an hour of lazy riding. Can be made longer by adding more random roads...

It's a midnight pleasure ride for the sake of riding. Nobody has to come to the pickup point. You can suggest "pick me up from here" and then we will (or I will) pick you up from that point. Ride on as much as you want, split and go home whenever you want. The event has no destination, so picking up people is a ride in itself :))

Also, feel free to recommend 24/7 cool places around the town at the extremities (not in West Village or MeatPacking, but maybe around ValleyStream, or far east Bay area, things like that) to visit or have a midnight bite etc :)
