The Learning Series: Drupal 8 - Let's be friends Part 3

In Part 2, we set the stage to train ourselves to think architecture explicitly and used simple conversation to reinforce the plan in our minds. We learned how important that machine name is. We learned that a simple entity reference can totally side-step taxonomy. We discovered the wonders of field groups and got a clue on view modes and form modes. So..... for Part 3, let's do the following:

1: Quickie review of Part 2

2: Expand our knowledge of entity references and learn the strategy behind dealing with "is the child record there or not".

3: Users and fields. (It's deep dive time into both of these).

4: Pattern building and Display Suite intro.

5: Beginners Views (if time allows).

6: 1-5 are pretty "head-heavy" so I doubt we will have community Q/A time.
