The Buddhist Faith Fellowship in Middletown, Connecticut, is a practice and training center with an open and nurturing community, dedicated to spiritual fulfillment and enlightenment. Here, mindfulness flourishes, kindness is practiced, wisdom is embraced, and compassion is at the heart of everything we do.

Join us for a special edition of our Mindful Movement and Meditation class, where all proceeds will benefit Team Alabama for the 2026 Transplant Games. Donations are tax-deductible and support a vital cause. This nurturing practice blends gentle movement and guided meditation to calm your mind, boost your energy, and restore balance to your body and spirit.

This fundraiser is personal. As some of you may already know, our high school friend Lael Feist recently saved a young man’s life by donating one of her kidneys. • Transplant recipients: Individuals who have received life-saving organ transplants.

• Supporters and volunteers: Anyone passionate about supporting this cause, building advocacy, and developing medical and legal advancements to help save more lives.How to Participate

Meditation and Talk Sundays
Wesleyan University Mansfield Freeman Center for East Asian Studies, 345 Washington Terrace, Middletown, CT, USJoin our Meditation and Talk Sundays, a space to deepen your spiritual journey — where ancient wisdom meets everyday life in community.
In our Sunday gatherings, we explore the timeless teachings and practices of classical Buddhism that uniquely blend Thien (Zen) Buddhism, in a style similar to Thich Nhat Hanh, with heartfelt Shin Buddhist teachings. Our Meditation & Talk Sundays include mindfulness practices, quiet sitting meditation, sacred chants, incense offering, Q & A with an ordained teacher, and so much more —all within a nurturing group setting. Open to the general public, beginners, and veteran practitioners alike.
Open to everyone, including first-timers and seasoned practitioners, we warmly welcome you to explore and grow with us. Although Meetup RSVPs may show a cetain number, at least 10 - 15+ people attend our meetings.
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you give yourself time to arrive in-person before the 9 a.m. meeting.
Our Location: Our location is unequaled in Connecticut, which includes quiet sitting meditation in front of the Shôyôan Teien Zen garden and a traditional Japanese style tatami room.
Parking: Free street parking on Washington Terrace but there is also parking on Mt. Vernon Street which is the side street, next to the center.
Meeting Rules: In order to maintain a harmonious and respectful environment, practice kind speech, be courteous, and abstain from talking about current politics or display or wear political or offensive symbols or imagery. Those unable to follow these rules will be asked to promptly leave.
Suggested Donation: $10 -$20 (cash or check) to help cover costs for our Wesleyan expenses, internet services, our extensive outreach efforts, Meetup, and standard operating costs. Checks are payable to BFF of CT. Thank you in advance for your generous support.

Yale Art Gallery Buddhist Art Field Trip
Yale Art Gallery, 1111 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT, USJoin us on Saturday, December 13, 2026, for an inspiring open field trip to the Yale University Art Gallery in New Haven, Connecticut. Together, we’ll explore the museum’s world-renowned Asian and Buddhist art collections, along with exquisite Byzantine and Islamic religious works. We’ll also visit other galleries featuring masterpieces such as John Trumbull’s Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776 and Vincent van Gogh’s Le Café de Nuit—and much more!
After our group visit, participants are welcome to continue exploring the museum or join us for New Haven–style brick oven pizza at Bar Pizzeria, just a few blocks away. It’s the perfect way to relax, share reflections, and enjoy fellowship together.
