Are you a progressive working on campus?

Campus2Community.net is an inclusive multi-issue network of progressive faculty and staff in the Greater Boston area.

Campus2Community.net is a project of Socializing for Justice, a grassroots group established in 2006 to build a cross-issue progressive community, network and movement in Boston by putting the SOCIAL back in social justice.

Campus2Community.net facilitates inter-departmental and cross-campus collaboration among faculty and staff. We support progressive student groups by connecting them with like-minded community-based organizations and student groups at other campuses in the area.

Members are encouraged to add their own Meetups, which will be announced to the group when 3 people say they are attending. Have an idea for networking with progressive faculty and staff? Post it! Want everyone to know about an event on your campus? Post it!

Why are faculty and staff the key to campus networking?
Faculty and staff have the ability to achieve and maintain a sustainable impact. Students graduate but faculty and staff usually work at a university for longer periods of time. When students graduate, faculty and staff may be able to connect them with community organizations that are hiring and identify other students to take on vacant student leadership positions. Progressive faculty can also encourage students by becoming an adviser to a progressive student group.

Why get involved with Campus2Community?

  • To connect with faculty & staff with similar interests in other departments at your institution and at other campuses in the area
  • To support the maintenance and development of progressive student groups
  • To facilitate students connecting with local community-based organizations and student groups
