Meet other residents of the 6th borough (Jersey City) who have Celiac Disease, learn and share the local tips and tricks, eat/drink safely at Jersey City restaurants and bars, and help raise local awareness.

We will coordinate some of our activities with the NYC Celiac Disease Meetup Group. I recommend that you also join the NYC Celiac Disease Meetup Group for the wealth of information and activities provided there: http://celiacdisease.meetup.com/1/

Other, non-Celiac people on a gluten-free diet also welcome! Actually, all are welcome...

What members are saying

Well, this was my first meeting and I had a good time -- by myself, with a group of strangers, so that must say good things about the group. ...

Always aware of any celiac events locally.

“Hi Jay - unfortunately, there isn't as much officially GF in Jersey City as I would like. That was initially why I started the JC group - to try to encourage sympathetic restaurant owners to develop GF menus. There are several places to eat in JC that have GF options, but no actual GF menus. Lighthorse Tavern, Madame Claude, Ibby's Falafel, and JC Sakura have all been able to reliably serve me GF food. Madame Claude and Lighthorse Tavern also have GF fries, just check with the waiter first.”
