How did you hear about the group?

Web search

What kinds of activities would you like to see this kind of group do?

I am looking to share ideas and relate on a personal level with like minded people. Any activity that facilitates this, I would love to be a part of.

What does being an atheist/agnostic/etc mean to you?

Being an athiest to me means freedom, comfort, strength, meaning. It, to me, is embracing the natural order of things. It means accepting reality no matter how stark it may seem. It means celebrating the unfathomably precious gift life is without polluting it with self imposed ingnorance based on fear and selfishness. It provides me with the mind state that is required to always question. To always seek answers and to remain humbled by my own inherent limitations.

How long have you been a non-believer?

My childhood was one of extreme fundamental christianity. I always knew in my heart it was a human manifestation. I would say I was very young, ten or eleven, when I came to the conclusion that the natural world and the reality I observed everyday, did not match the ideas my parents were forcing on me. So I would say close to 20 years I have been a non-believer.

My name is Jeremy Allen, I am a staunch rationalist and anti-theist. I am an artist, musician and aspiring writer. I am on a constant search for understanding and find immense strength and meaning in this pursuit.
