CFI Portland Presents: Jerry Coyne

For our April edition of "Fourth Friday @ the Lab", please Join CFI Portland in welcoming biologist, author and Atheist Jerry Coyne to Portland for a one night speaking engagement. A renowned Geneticist and Evolutionary Biologist who has made major contributions in his field, Jerry is tireless promoter of secular humanism. He is currently promoting his latest book, "Faith vs. Fact", where he promotes the view that faith and religon are inherently broken ways of finding truth and are incompatible with science.

Coyne also argues against the existence of Free Will as well as accommodationalism with religion. His web site, Why Evolution Is True is one of the most active and popular web sites for the evolution debates. He is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Chicago ,having recently retired.
