Why is it that every CFI billboard has something to do with God, the God question, Atheism, religion, etc.?

According to publicity training, the more provocative, the better. If people talk about it, complain about it, or maybe even better deface it or file suit against it, it gets far more news and therefore far more free publicity -- more bang for the advertising buck.

That can cause problems if you go so far for attention that you're no longer "on message", or if the non-provocative parts of your mission get lost because they never get expressed. Is that your concern? People aren't going to get too excited about a billboard that says "Are you a reasonable, sensible, science-based person? Join CFI."

In fact, some local groups have been concerned that even billboards expressing atheism only aren't "edgy" enough to attract much attention from our reportedly unchurched masses in the PNW.
