Join us for dinner or beer at 6 PM, followed by the science talk that starts at 7 PM. Arriving early assures we will get seating together. The Pub fills up a little before the talks.
Topic: The Hanford Clean-up
Speakers: Ken Niles, Manager of Oregon's involvement in clean-up at the Hanford Nuclear Site; and Dirk Dunning, Technical staff member at the Oregon Dept. of Energy's Nuclear Safety.
The Handford Nuclear Site is a mostly decommissioned nuclear production complex on the Columbia River. The site is now in clean-up.
