Humanist Culture Open Mic

Details
-- SPECIAL GUEST : SHELLEY SEGAL IS IN TOWN! --
Why isn't there nearly enough good humanist performance art? I mean, we got stories worth telling. From epic sagas - humanity's progress across centuries - to small, quiet moments where you appreciate your community and the natural world.
But... it's awful hard to find good humanist music. We should have a thriving culture of performance art that explicitly highlights our secular values. To fix that, we have the Humanist Culture Open mIc.
Whether you do music, comedy, poetry - come share art that celebrates a natural world, science, reason and secular ethics. And if you just want to listen, that's fine too.
Refreshments are served along with good conversation afterwards (food is free, although donations are appreciated)
The Humanist Culture Open Mic is co-sponsored by Center for Inquiry - New York City and New York Society for Ethical Culture. It takes place on the first Wednesday of each month.
