Cerebral Cinema - Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979)

Die hard cinephiles, academic film enthusiasts, and casual movie goers looking to expand their movie going experience welcome. Cerebral Cinema is a group geared towards getting together to watch a variety of a eclectic cinema ranging from highbrow indie fare to genre blockbusters. Following each theatrical outing, our group will congregate to discuss the film over food or drinks in a casual laid-back environment. Discussion topics will center around the film's plot and themes, the past filmography of the cast and crew, and the film at hand's cultural relevance. Let's get acquainted and talk cinema.

Werner Herzog's retelling of Bram Stokers immortal classic Dracula, in the vein of his German predecessor F.W. Murnau is perhaps the most aesthetically poetic and breathtaking dismal take on the vampire subgenre ever struck to celluloid. Klaus Kinski's ghoulish performance as the undead count that lures a weary real-estate agent to a decrepit Transylvania castle is both unrelenting and unforgettable. If the sparkly yet sullen Edward Cullen does it for you then this particular feature may not be for you. We shall meet at theater around 7:10 to get aquatinted and purchase tickets prior to a 7:30 screening. After the feature we'll congregate for drinks and discussion. Be there or be quadrilateral.

Nosferatu is directed by Werner Herzog and stars Klaus Kinski, Isabelle Adjani, Bruno Ganz and Roland Topor.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
