Light the Night

The Center for Inquiry is proud to announce that we are once again joining pro-science and secular groups across the U.S. and Canada to raise funds for cancer research. In collaboration with the Foundation Beyond Belief, we are setting out to help raise $500,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual Light The Night fundraiser.

Light The Night (http://action.centerforinquiry.net/site/R?i=o6WWtugUIkqC33zqpVggsw) is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's evening walk and fundraising event to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling blood cancer. Each fall, in communities across the U.S. and Canada, thousands of participants raise funds for vital, lifesaving research and patient services and, on these special nights, they carry illuminated balloons to show the support of a caring community. The Buffalo walk is scheduled for Friday, September 27, 2013 in Delaware Park (http://action.centerforinquiry.net/site/R?i=BqEUaMRq_DGqDWXRLLrGAQ).

Light The Night participants raise funds and walk as individuals or on teams with friends, family and co-workers—and this is where we need your help.

All donations made to teams affiliated with the Foundation Beyond Belief will be matched dollar-for-dollar by a very generous donation from the Stiefel family (http://action.centerforinquiry.net/site/R?i=t5Ib5gxNpKp6ZSVPmOwimg).This $250,000 matching donation means that for every $25 you donate or raise you are promising $50 in scientific research and patient care.

Become a Team Member

Team members are not required to walk, but we would love for you to join us for the Friday, September 27, 2013 walk in Delaware Park (http://action.centerforinquiry.net/site/R?i=rYSuOpZqI-FkRbsJXT0ZCg). Team members will meet prior to the event and walk together. If you become a team member you will receive an email prior to the event with instructions on where and when to meet.
