Hey everyone. Welcome to the group. We're 8 members strong at 1-week old, which seems like a pretty good clip. If you guys have any topic suggestions for the first meetup, just pitch them. Some of you have more years of experience with .NET/software development than I, so even though I initiated this group, feel free to pitch in. As we're just starting out, this should be an agile "self-organizing" group. There aren't any sponsors, and I don't currently have plans to look for any. I'd be willing to get pizza or something for our first few meetings, but after that we're going Dutch. Again the purpose of this group is to share knowledge about .NET development and network with other developers beyond the walls of our offices. I'm not sure where this is going, but if the idea of a .NET user group based in the Loop gains wide popularity, that'd be awesome. Or if one of us has an insanely good idea, we could just spin off into a company. In any case, welcome again.
Software development professionals who made Microsoft .NET their tool of choice. The core purpose of this group is to strengthen the Chicago .NET community through knowledge sharing and networking. Meetup topics focus on the Microsoft stack, attempting to balance basic concepts with advanced concepts.
Note to recruiters and job seekers: there is a Job Board forum in the Discussions tab of this website.
