Chicago's original & largest Sci-Fi & Fantasy Meetup!
Our monthly meetup is on the first Tuesday of each month. It's a great place to meet folks and talk about random fandom with long time members and newbies in a relaxed setting with no timetable. The rest of the month join us for movies, dinners, and geeky gatherings of all types!*
We are an eclectic group into all aspects of Science Fiction (referred to by some now as Speculative Fiction) and Fantasy including books, movies, TV, gaming and conventions. You are welcome if you've just discovered your first geeky interest or if you have been steeped in fandom your entire life. We all love sci-fi & fantasy, and talking a lot! We have a variety of gatherings every month including our monthly dinner meetup that has been meeting every first Tuesday since Barry (Oneleggedman), our original organizer, first took over the reigns in 2003!
*Our meetups range from movies, dinners, museums, outings to city (and Suburban) events, parties, bad movie nights and many other events from Sci/Fi Cons to Six Flags, and a special outing in August to visit Argonne Labs!
