The Chicago Job Network is a FREE online job networking group and referral site designed to help job seekers connect to events, resources and organizations to aid them in their job search. 

This is a FREE group with NO membership dues. Any fee based event will have admission prices listed in the event details and money will be collected at the location when you arrive. 

This group is open to anyone regardless of age, race, religion, occupation, industry, education or social background.
   

How it works is I take news of job fairs, seminars, workshops, classes and other relevant job search events around the Chicagoland area and relist them into a single Calendar to make it easier for you to search through and attend whichever event you are interested in. I also add informative material under the DISCUSSIONS and FILES sections of this site. 

IMPORTANT NOTES: Please be aware that I only gather news on events, take the event ad as it's posted on the organization's website and copy the same event details back to the Calendar. I do NOT host or actually attend any of the events myself. The only exception are the "Group Meetings" that I will personally host myself from time to time. The Meetup.com system requires an "event host" for any Meetup that is scheduled on the Calendar. That is the only reason why my name appears as "host" for every Meetup.

Since this is a free group with NO membership dues, I am NOT responsible for any last minute detail changes, scheduling errors or canceled events. Keep in mind that most of the events have limited seating capacities and fill up quickly. You are responsible for the registration and confirmation of dates, times and availability of any events you are interested in attending. Meetup itself is NOT free. This is a volunteer project for me, I do NOT get paid by Sponsors or anyone else for managing this website. I pay the $20 monthly fee that Meetup charges out of my own pocket and I do all the research, content posting and administration of this website myself on my own time. You can do your part by registering and verifying dates, times, locations etc for any events you're attending. Some events require advance registration by phone or an external website, some don't. Please remember this. 

This is NOT a job board or advertising space for any recruiters, employment agencies, MLM's or work from home scams. There will be NO soliciting or advertising of any kind allowed. Any member that advertises or solicits jobs, goods or services anywhere within their profile or personal posts on this site may be removed and banned from the group without any warning. College students, the Media, journalists or freelance writers doing interviews and research work relating to job search and unemployment are welcome to join the group and post their requests on the discussion boards or suggest to organize their own Meetup event.
