What are your favorite Chinese dishes and foods?

Jiazi! Niuroumien! YuHsianCheazi!

How would you describe your level of Chinese? (Eg it's my native language OR I don't speak it OR I learned some dialect from my family but little Mandarin, OR I can speak a few words, simple conversations, etc.)

I was advanced but I have let it slide the past few years.

What kind of events and activities would you be interested in? What would you like to do at our events?

Casual meet ups to speak Chinese as much as possilbe. Informal classes. I have been to a good meetup class in Gaithersburg but I think it has stopped

What could this group provide for you that no other Meetup could?

Hmm. I wish this software could take Chinese Characters.

Where did you grow up? How did you learn Chinese? Tell us your story.

Right here in the DC burbs. I studied in college wen to BeishiDa in Beijing, worked in Taipei and Hong Kong. I miss using that part of my brain and personality.

I spent about a dozen years in China a dozen years ago. And now I am looking to brush up on my Chinese and do some tutoring. I came to a few meetings 3- 4 years ago and it was a lot of fun.
