Chinese ?Play House?
What: ?Skits performed in Chinese
By who: ?By you!
When: ?Sunday, 4-6 pm
Where: ?Ernest Merrill?s House (address to be sent to those who RSVP ?Yes?)

Please click the link above for more details about our next great event - Chinese Play House and to RSVP. please note- as this event will be at a private home, the location will be emailed to those who RSVP "Yes".
Why: ?For fun! (oh, and learning Chinese)

This will be a great event for those who can speak a little Chinese, all the way up to native speakers. Please note - if you have just started learning (ie, you are not able to put together a basic sentence) this event will probably not work for you. Please join us at a future event that is "open to all".
Details: ?I have two ideas for the way this will play out, depending on how many people RSVP. ?
Idea 1 ? Everyone is broken off into pairs and provided with a Scripts in Chinese Characters (with PinYin and English Translation) ?You and your partner are given 15 to 20 minutes to practice your skit. ?The group reconvenes and we perform for everyone. ?Votes at the end for most creative (and a prize for the winners)
Idea 2 ? If the group is smaller, then we?ll just have one or two skits, but with more characters per skit and it will be slightly more challenging. ?No prizes, but it?ll just be good fun.
What to bring:
1.?Your mad Chinese skills
2. ?Snacks (if you like) ? or perhaps we can all chip in and order Chinese take-out!
Even if you feel your Chinese is really basic, no problem! ?It?s doing a lot with a little that wins. ?I can dig up some skits with very basic Chinese and you can use your creativity to turn it into something fun. ?
